Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to oversee daily retail operations, ensure excellent customer service, and lead a team to achieve sales and operational goals. This role involves managing inventory, supervising staff, and implementing marketing strategies to drive store success.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate store staff to deliver exceptional customer service and meet sales targets.
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS transactions.
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to optimize sales.
- Recruit, interview, train, and develop team members to foster a productive work environment.
- Conduct employee orientation sessions and ongoing training & development programs.
- Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and other administrative tasks efficiently.
- Implement marketing initiatives to promote store products and services effectively.
- Monitor sales performance using retail math principles; analyze data to identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and customer service standards.
- Manage purchasing decisions and vendor relationships to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Supervise shift management, scheduling, and ensure smooth daily operations across all departments.
- Utilize strong negotiation skills for vendor contracts and promotional activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management or store supervision with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual (Spanish)
- Proficiency in POS systems, retail math, inventory management software, and cash handling procedures.
- Experience in merchandising, marketing, purchasing, and stock management.
- Ability to lead teams effectively through training & development initiatives.
- Skilled in employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and performance management.
- Knowledge of budgeting processes and payroll administration.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent phone etiquette and organizational skills.
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience preferred; familiarity with grocery or specialty retail is advantageous.
