We're looking for a Lead Erection Technician—a seasoned leader, a technical ace, and a safety champion, to join our elite field service team. If you thrive on complex challenges, demand excellence, and want to see your work make a tangible impact, this is your chance to shine. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you'll be the face of our company at customer sites, tackling the most challenging intermodal heavy equipment projects, from assembly to complex troubleshooting and repair.
What You’ll Do:
You'll be the Lead Erection Technician, overseeing and executing critical, large-scale projects at customer locations, including ports and rail yards.
Lead & Manage: Take full ownership of the job site, coordinating and executing the assembly and installation of massive intermodal heavy equipment, like gantry cranes and other material handling systems.
The Technical Deep Dive: Become the ultimate problem-solver. You’ll read and interpret complex electrical and hydraulic schematics to diagnose, repair, and commission sophisticated systems and components.
Expert Service: Perform detailed preventative maintenance and comprehensive equipment inspections following strict OEM specifications, ensuring maximum reliability and uptime for our customers.
Customer Champion: Serve as the primary point of contact for customer equipment requests, delivering world-class service and technical expertise.
Safety First: Uphold and enforce all railroad, safety, health, and environmental regulations and policies with a commitment to a goal of zero incidents. You’ll need to secure an E-Rail security clearance badge to operate in this critical environment
What We’re Looking For:
Experience & Expertise: A High School Diploma or GED is required, combined with 10 years of relevant heavy equipment field experience, preferably working with gantry cranes or similar large-scale material handling machinery.
Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical assemblies is essential, along with strong crane signaling experience.
The Go-Getter Mindset: The ability to work independently, meet demanding deadlines, and maintain meticulous, accurate records while on-site.
Physical Stamina: The job involves considerable climbing, twisting, bending, and kneeling. You must be able to ascend and descend ladders/scaffolding and lift parts up to 50 pounds.
Travel Readiness: You must be prepared for extensive travel up to 70% of the time to customer sites, which includes frequent overnight stays.

Physical and Environmental Elements:
This is a production classification and employees work indoors and outdoors (in all seasons) with exposure to noise, chemicals, heavy equipment and machinery. Accurate hand/eye coordination is required. Finger dexterity is required, as well as hand strength, with the ability to grasp, lift, push and pull. Work involves considerable climbing, twisting, bending, squatting and kneeling for long periods of time. May lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds and pull approximately 20 lbs. Need to have the ability to ascend and descent a ladder and/or scaffolding. Ability to travel up to 70% to customer sites with overnight stays.
Special Requirements/Certification:
