Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring presentation standards are met
- Process sales transactions accurately while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and food handling procedures
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery for a seamless dining experience
- Assist with food preparation or setup when needed, supporting overall restaurant operations
- Follow food safety protocols and proper sanitation practices to ensure guest safety at all times
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is preferred, especially in fine dining environments
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine, and drink presentation techniques
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining high-quality service
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and positive communication style
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions
- Experience in food handling, sanitation practices, and adhering to food safety standards is essential
- Knowledge of the food industry trends and culinary terminology will be an advantage
