Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner with experience in Dialysis to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing with a focus on patient care, particularly for individuals undergoing dialysis treatment. This role requires a compassionate approach to patient management, ensuring the highest standards of care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis in both in patient and out patient settings.
- work in collaboration with our Nephrologist to ensure optimal care, following all protocols and safety standards.
- Educate patients and families about dialysis procedures, dietary restrictions, and overall health management.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives as needed.
Skills
Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
- Dialysis experience, including knowledge of acute care settings.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
- Strong clinical skills in critical care, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine.
- Experience with IV insertion, phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices.
- Ability to perform triage assessments and manage acute pain effectively.
- Experience working in various medical settings such as nursing homes, outpatient clinics, or urgent care facilities.
- Understanding of coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10)
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with healthcare teams. This position is ideal for those passionate about providing exceptional patient care within the dialysis specialty while contributing to a supportive healthcare environment.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
