The Juvenile Justice (JJ) Youth Mentor provides mentoring services on weeknights, weekends, and weekend evenings to moderate and high-risk youth and families to support youth’s efforts in successfully completing their probationary period and reducing recidivism by providing academic support, emotional development, and opportunities for pro social activities and pro social peer engagement. In this role, JJ Youth Mentor will work closely with youth and families involved with Tarrant County Juvenile Services (TCJS) and other team members. JJ Youth Mentor will also maintain frequent communication with the youth’s probation officer (as necessary) and provide written monthly updates about the youth’s progress and the services they are receiving. JJ Youth Mentor will provide individualized, trauma-informed, culturally, and linguistically competent community-based services to the individuals we serve.

- Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED
- Preferences: Lived experience navigating the juvenile justice system; Bilingual – Spanish; Candidates with unique skill sets with varied educational level preferred
- License/Certifications: Valid Texas Driver’s License
