What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Clerk position at MHMR Authority of Brazos Valley?
Job Description: To perform all aspects for payroll processing; enter timesheets, process payroll accurately, produce employee payroll reports for internal revenue service, state employment, workman’s compensation & retirement, post journal entries for payroll as needed, coordinate transfer of funds for payroll and tax deposits, and assist in billing processes and data entry as needed.
Education: Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Requires relevant experience in payroll and/or financial service areas, computer knowledge & skills are required; must be able to work independently as well as with a team. Good organizational skills are necessary.
Hours of Work: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Monday through Friday.
Licensure/Certification: Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and must be insurable by Agency insurance.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, communicate effectively both verbally & written, good computer skills a must; ability to lift/carry under 30lbs., ability to pass the Preventative Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB) Training as well as all other physical requirements for this position.
Facility: 1504 S Texas Facility, Bryan, TX.
