Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items quickly and accurately according to established recipes and safety standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders, handle cash transactions, and manage sales efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders clearly, and upselling menu items to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, dining areas, and food handling equipment
- Assist with food safety practices including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Support food industry operations by bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring the restaurant remains organized and inviting
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high-quality service standards
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or quick service restaurants is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus; training will be provided if needed
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order accuracy are essential
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in food safety practices, sanitation procedures, or kitchen work within the food industry is advantageous
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a busy café or retail setting
