The HR Recruiter is responsible for supporting MHA's recruitment efforts by sourcing, screening, & coordinating qualified candidates for open positions across the organization. This role works under the direction of the Recruitment Manager to identify top talent, promote MHA's mission, & help build compassionate, mission-driven teams that support the individuals we serve.
Schedule: Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm

Under the supervision of the Recruitment Manager, the Recruiter will:
- Review applications within the ATS, evaluate qualifications, advance qualified applicants, & disposition candidates who do not meet hiring criteria
- Conduct candidate outreach, screenings, & phone interviews while providing information about positions, organizational culture, & benefits
- Coordinate candidate submissions, interview scheduling, & hiring activities while maintaining communication with candidates & hiring managers
- Participate in interviews & selection discussions, providing feedback & recommendations to hiring managers & the Recruitment Manager
- Create, post, & maintain job advertisements, ensuring postings remain accurate & up to date
- Coordinate & participate in hiring events, job fairs, community outreach activities, & other recruitment initiatives
- Extend employment offers & coordinate onboarding activities, including HRIS/payroll onboarding, verification of pre-employment requirements, & onboarding appointments
- Maintain recruitment records, candidate activity, & hiring data within the ATS & other applicable systems
- Manage multiple open positions, competing priorities, & deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with the Recruitment Manager & HR team on recruitment strategies, process improvements, & organizational initiatives
- Participate in HR meetings & contribute to recruitment-related discussions, projects, & workforce development efforts
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- 2 years of recruitment, talent acquisition, or related experience required; nonprofit or human services experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office & the ability to learn ATS, HRIS, & other recruitment systems
- Comfortable discussing compensation, benefits, & employment opportunities with candidates
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal & written communication skills; Spanish fluency preferred
- Valid driver's license & reliable transportation for recruitment-related events
- Ability to travel locally for recruitment-related events & activities
