Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and setup of construction sites, including layout and blueprint interpretation
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and concrete mixers safely and effectively
- Perform concrete pouring, finishing, cutting, and formwork construction to create durable structures
- Install rebar, metal studs, framing, drywall, stucco, and perform masonry work as required
- Execute heavy lifting tasks and handle renovation or restoration projects with precision
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations and ensure a safe environment for all team members
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide work activities
Requirements
- Proven experience working on construction projects across various trades such as carpentry, masonry, roofing, or renovation
- Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating processes
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, concrete pumps, concrete mixers, saws for cutting concrete or masonry materials
- Knowledge of construction site safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks consistently
- Experience with rebar installation, formwork construction, concrete finishing, caulking, plastering, flooring installation, and metal stud framing is highly desirable
- Valid experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or cranes is a plus
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving on-site
