The Challenge:

At MH Civil our surveyors collects precise field data, review construction drawings, and create accurate survey points for civil projects. Working closely with engineers and superintendents, this role ensures all measurements, layouts, and documentation are reliable and ready for construction. The Surveyor maintains equipment, uses GPS and surveying tools, and travels to MH Civil project sites to support field operations.

1. Oversees the development and execution of construction related survey duties.
2. Collaborates with engineers, superintendents 
3. Determines appropriate surveying techniques to be used on each project.
4. Maintains equipment and keeps it calibrated
5. Gathers survey data using global positioning systems (GPS) and other surveying tools to map areas and measure angles, distances, and elevations.
6. Analyzes construction drawings to appropriately plan and schedule work.
7. Drafts reports, descriptions, and other documentation for all work performed.
8. Completes any surveying tasks crew members are unable to complete.
9. Train or reccomend training to technicions in survey technics, mathmatical caculations, and computer analysis or survey data.
10. Capture site photos
11. Comply with all company safety rules
12. Travel to projects that MH civil is working on.
13. Performs other related duties as assigned.

What you'll need to succeed:

1. Ability to read and interpret blueprints
2. Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into computer software and systems.
3. Thorough understanding of and ability to execute proper field survey procedures and techniques.
4. Thorough understanding of mathematical calculations used in field surveys and the ability to identify mistakes in calculations.
5. Willing to work in harsh climates
6. Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
7. Good verbal communication and problem solving skills.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Autodesk Civil 3D or related software.
9. High school diploma or equivalent required.
10. Surveyor training preferred.
11. Valid US Drivers License
12. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

El reto:

El topógrafo recopilará datos de campo y revisará dibujos para desarrollar puntos para alineaciones horizontales y verticales para tuberías y carreteras.

Lo que harás:

1. Supervisa el desarrollo y la ejecución de las tareas topográficas relacionadas con la construcción.
2. Colabora con ingenieros, superintendentes
3. Determina las técnicas topográficas apropiadas que se utilizarán en cada proyecto.
4. Reúne datos topográficos utilizando sistemas de posicionamiento global (GPS) y otras herramientas topográficas para mapear áreas y medir ángulos, distancias y elevaciones.
5. Analiza planos de construcción para planificar y programar adecuadamente el trabajo.
6. Redacta informes, descripciones y demás documentación de todo el trabajo realizado.
7. Completa cualquier tarea topográfica que los miembros de la tripulación no puedan completar.
8. Viajar a proyectos en Texas.
9. Realiza otros deberes relacionados que le sean asignados.

Lo que necesitarás para tener éxito

1. Capacidad para ingresar datos de manera precisa y eficiente en software y sistemas informáticos.
2. Comprensión completa y capacidad para ejecutar procedimientos y técnicas de estudio de campo adecuados.
3. Comprensión completa de los cálculos matemáticos utilizados en los estudios de campo y la capacidad de identificar errores en los cálculos.
4. Buenas habilidades de comunicación verbal.
5. Competente en Microsoft Office Suite, Autodesk Civil 3D o software relacionado.
6. Se requiere diploma de escuela secundaria o equivalente.
7. Se prefiere la capacitación de topógrafos.
8. Debe poder levantar hasta 50 libras a veces.
