Seasonal Tax Associate

Overview
I am seeking motivated and detail-oriented Seasonal Tax Preparer to join the team. As a Seasonal Tax Preparer, you will support my business through a variety of responsibilities that including Hosting Zoom meeting. Interview clients. Preparing tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Interview clients: Meet with clients to gather financial data and discuss their tax situation.
• Gather and organize documents: Collect and review all necessary financial records, such as W-2s, 1099s, and documentation of expenditures.
• Prepare tax returns: Use tax software to accurately complete and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, small businesses, or other entities.
• Identify deductions and credits: Leverage knowledge of tax codes to find all eligible adjustments, deductions, and credits to minimize the client's tax liability and maximize their refund.
• Ensure compliance: Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure all returns are prepared in full compliance.
• Review for accuracy: Double-check all calculations and data entry to ensure accuracy and prevent errors.
• Provide administrative support: Handle administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing client payments, and answering phone calls. Hosting zoom session.

Experience
Ideal candidates should possess a strong foundation in tax preparation principles and relevant experience in the following areas:

• Tax knowledge: A strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to explain complex tax information clearly to clients.
• Relevant experience: Two or more years of experience in tax preparation.
• Entry-level tax preparer: Focuses on preparing more simple returns and performing data entry. Often receives extensive training.

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $18.00 - $24.80 per hour
