Position Details
Position Type: Full-Time | Hybrid / In-Office
Location: San Antonio ( Must live in or near San Antonio area- will be required to report to office location)
Qualifications
- CPA designation required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 6 years of accounting experience
- 5 years of experience within a public accounting firm
- Progressive supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong ability to manage priorities, lead teams, and perform in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with business, individual, and estate tax planning
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple client engagements while maintaining exceptional service standards
- Develop strong client relationships and maintain an understanding of each client’s business and goals
- Facilitate client meetings focused on tax strategy, planning, and implementation
- Represent clients before tax authorities when needed
- Review tax returns for accuracy, compliance, and quality while mentoring staff through the review process
- Monitor engagement timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful completion
- Mentor, coach, and develop team members through ongoing communication and training
- Stay current on tax law developments and advise staff and clients accordingly
- Represent the firm within the community and support business development initiatives
- Collaborate with leadership and team members across the firm to drive continued growth and success
- Perform additional duties and special projects as needed
