Duties
- Assist with framing, including metal stud framing and wood framing, ensuring structural integrity according to schematics and blueprints
- Perform trim carpentry tasks such as door hanging, fixture installation, and cabinet setup with precision and attention to detail
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like cutting, sanding, caulking, and finishing surfaces
- Prepare construction sites by installing rebar for concrete forms or setting up scaffolding and formwork for concrete pouring
- Engage in restoration work including water damage remediation, mold cleanup, plastering, stucco application, and siding replacement
- Support roofing projects through material handling and installation of roofing components using appropriate safety procedures
- Execute general labor duties such as heavy lifting, material fabrication, assembly of fixtures or structures, and site cleanup to maintain an efficient workflow
Experience
- Proven experience working on construction sites with a solid understanding of safety protocols and site etiquette
- Skilled in various carpentry disciplines including framing, trim work, cabinetry installation, and metal stud framing
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings to accurately execute project plans
- Hands-on experience with hand tools (saws, hammers, screwdrivers) and power tools (drills, saws, grinders) in a construction environment
- Knowledge of concrete forming techniques, rebar installation, masonry basics, roofing systems, and flooring installation preferred
- Experience in restoration industry projects such as water damage repair or mold remediation is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining focus on quality workmanship
