Summary:

MGO is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our growing advisory practice. This role will support complex engagements involving financial due diligence, fraud investigations, litigation support, and forensic accounting. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, sound accounting knowledge, and experience working directly with clients and engagement teams in high-impact advisory matters.

 

As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in executing engagements, developing analyses, and delivering insights that help clients navigate financial disputes, transactions, and compliance challenges.

 

Essential duties:

  • Perform financial due diligence in support of mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions, including quality of earnings analyses and financial statement assessments.
  • Assist with fraud investigations, including data analysis, tracing of funds, identification of irregularities, and documentation of findings.
  • Provide litigation support services such as damage calculations, expert report support, discovery assistance, and preparation of exhibits.
  • Conduct forensic accounting analyses related to disputes, regulatory inquiries, internal investigations, and compliance matters.
  • Analyze financial records, general ledger activity, bank statements, and transactional data to identify trends, anomalies, and risks.
  • Prepare clear, concise workpapers, memoranda, and client-ready deliverables.
  • Collaborate with managers and partners to meet engagement objectives, deadlines, and quality standards.
  • Participate in client meetings and contribute to discussions by presenting analyses and findings.
  • Stay informed on accounting standards, forensic methodologies, and industry best practices.

 

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
  • CPA required or CPA-eligible, with active progress toward obtaining certification.
  • 3 years of experience with financial due diligence support, fraud and litigation support, and forensic accounting.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis; experience with data analytics tools is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced advisory environment.

 

Success Factors:

  • Experience in a public accounting firm or advisory/consulting environment.
  • Exposure to expert witness support or regulatory matters.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to synthesize complex financial information.
  • Collaborative mindset and commitment to professional development.

  • Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 Bonus program.
