JIA Overview
The Day-to-day
- Prepare sushi and other Japanese dishes with accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail
- Apply advanced knife skills and maintain superior plate presentation
- Follow recipes and specifications set by the Chef to ensure food quality and consistency
- Conduct regular inventory of assigned items, ensuring proper par levels are maintained
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and proper functioning of all kitchen equipment and work areas
- Communicate with chefs and teammates to address and resolve any challenges
- Assist with preparation in pantry and other kitchen areas as needed
- Demonstrate knowledge of menu items, culinary techniques, and proper use of kitchen tools
- Holds a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Demonstrates 1 years of prior relevant sushi experience
- Possesses strong knife skills and knowledge of sushi preparation techniques
