THE JOB:
Asan On-Call Guest Services Representative you are an essential part of guest experience. Your approachable, and personable demeanor, coupled with your dedication to provide delightful check-in experiences, and prompt resolutions for guest inconveniences will set the stage for the memories that they can carry with them well past their stay with us. By delivering top-notch guest experiences, you play a crucial role in elevating the overall guest experience.
STARTING PAY RATE: $20.86
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Assign rooms according to guest request and preferences whenever possible
Pre-assign, pre-key and prepare all guest packets for designated arrivals
Review/track/accommodate requests for changes and communicate to appropriate staff
Respond and assist with guest conflict resolutions in a timely manner and anticipate, recognize, evaluate, resolve any potential challengesand follow up
Balance room inventory in advance and identify and resolve any over-commitments by room types
Review out of order rooms for accurate return dates; report any room maintenance problems to management, housekeeping and/or engineering
Run all daily reports that are required to complete necessary job duties such as group arrivals and departures, housekeeping briefs, and trace reports
Balance clerk/cashier postings, cash and credit transactions on a daily basis
Assist front desk staff with the proper room assignments ensuring hotel rooms are being blocked to allow for revenue maximization
Manage early and late property arrivals/departures and walk-ins and all other tasks associated with guest room check-ins and check-outs
Ensure correct charges and credits are posted, collect payments, handle cash and credit transactions, and demonstrate responsibility in balancing all cash and cash equivalent transactions using property cash handling procedures
Control and issue keys while promoting security, privacy, and confidentiality of all guests
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Is a minimum of 18 years of age
Has a high school diploma, GED or equivalenteducation experience
Has a flexible schedule
Has strong communication skills and can multitask efficiently, providing information, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns in a professional manner in a resort setting
Has prior experience using Opera, Amadeus, Tangerine, UA, or VisionLine
Has prior experience as a Concierge, Hotel Front Desk Agent, or VIP Lounge representative in a Resort or Hotel Setting.
Proficient in the management of payment transactionsand cash handling
