DPrime Steakhouse, the premier high-end dining destination nestled inside the legendary MGM Grand Detroit, is seeking a sophisticated and charismatic Dining Host to join our elite front-of-house team. As the face of our luxury steakhouse, you will set the stage for an unforgettable evening, greeting our esteemed guests with genuine warmth and impeccable professionalism. In this dynamic role, you will be the ultimate backstage coordinator—managing reservations, seamlessly communicating guest preferences to our culinary and management teams, and working hand-in-hand with our servers and runners to ensure flawless service from the moment guests arrive. THE STARTING RATE: $15.99 an hour THE DAY-TO-DAY: Communicate with Restaurant Reservations regarding special orders, cake orders, special requests – responsible for conveying all such information to management Maintain knowledge of scheduled daily activities and in‐house groups, daily house count, table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range and dress code of the restaurant Greet guests promptly as they enter the restaurant Answer phones, keep accurate count of reservations and handle reservation book Ensure menus have proper inserts and are current according to the most recent change, and replace all menus in poor condition Communicate the needs of the guests to the kitchen and management, inform management of guest reactions and comments, and assist management as needed to ensure smooth operation and quality service Frequently check back with guests who are waiting to be seated; make it evident to guests that they have not been forgotten and that tables are being prepared for them Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas; shut down podium and forward phones to voice‐loop at end of shift THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Two years of prior experience in a restaurant as a dining host preferred Ability to work a varied shift to include weekends, holidays, and evenings THE PERKS & BENEFITS: Free meals in our employee dining room Free access to our employee fitness center Free parking on shift Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally Other various discounts with company partners such as travel, electronics, online shopping, and many more VIEW JOB DESCRIPTION: https://mgmresorts.marketpayjobs.com/ShowJob.aspx?EntityID=2&jobcode=14096 Are you ready to JOIN THE SHOW?
