The Company:
MGM Energy is a contractor specializing in HVAC, plumbing, energy conservation, and electrical services. We also participate in the Energy Saving Assistance Program sponsored by Southern California Edison, Southern California Gas Company, Southwest Gas, and Bear Valley Electric.
Job Overview:
The Energy Specialist/Program Representative will conduct assessments through in-home audits to verify the eligibility of customers for Southern California Gas Company, Southern California Edison, Southwest Gas, and Bear Valley Electric. This role involves canvassing, telemarketing, and identifying potential customers who meet program guidelines. The Energy Specialist/Program Representative is expected to attend both in-person and virtual appointments, whether self-generated or scheduled by the MGM Energy Call Center. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential for this position.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Complete certification training or any other required training
- Conduct outreach for the company’s home improvement and weatherization programs.
- Ensure enrollments are submitted on time.
- Arrive on time for scheduled appointments and be adequately prepared.
- Canvass door-to-door or telemarket to find potential customers
- Identify and document customer eligibility according to program guidelines
- Conduct structural in-home assessments at customers’ homes, apartments, and mobile homes
- Provide energy education and energy conservation tips to customers as required by program guidelines
- Maintain accurate customer records, files, forms, and paperwork
- Stay updated on program requirements and standards
- Maintain a positive relationship with customers, staff, and utility company representatives
- Participate in the routine meetings, workshops, and training as directed by the Program Administrator
- Responsible for the excellent image of the company while on company time
- Responsible for performing other duties/tasks assigned by the Program Administrator
Requirements:
- Must have an active California Driver’s License
- Must have an active Home Improvement Sales License
- Reliable transportation
- Must have strong communication skills
- Must have basic computer skills
- Fluent in English and Spanish Preferred
- Two years of minimum experience with the Energy Savings Assistance Program

$65,000-$85,000 per year
