What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Technician / Mechanic position at MGM Auto Repair & Body Shop?
We are looking for a skilled and experienced technician to join our current team.
Technician should be comfortable:
-Working on a variety of makes and models, European included
-Replacing timing belts/chains, engine/powertrain components, and performing advanced repairs
-Diagnosing electrical faults, warning lamps, A/C issues, suspension noises, and any customer concern
-Demonstrating good judgement and making valid recommendations for customer repairs
-Assisting team members and mentoring as needed
-Keeping shop environment clean and maintaining shop equipment
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems
- ASE Certifications preferred but not required
- Have own tools
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable with a good team attitude
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
