General Job Description:
The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for owning how MGK communicates as a company across digital channels, corporate messaging, and customer facing content. This role leads the development and execution of clear, consistent, and effective communication that supports business priorities, strengthens the brand, and drives engagement. This includes full ownership of digital marketing channels (website, email, social, and marketplaces) as well as corporate and organizational communications. This is a hands-on role that requires both strategic thinking and execution, and is not an entry-level position.
Responsibilities:
Communication Ownership & Strategy
- Own MGK’s communication strategy across digital and corporate channels
- Ensure clear, consistent messaging across all audiences and business segments
- Partner with leadership to translate business priorities into effective communication
- Maintain and evolve MGK’s voice, tone, and overall messaging
Digital Marketing
- Own and manage MGK’s website, email marketing, social media, and digital campaigns
- Develop and execute content strategies that drive engagement and lead generation
- Lead marketing automation and CRM driven communication strategies
- Build and grow MGK’s digital presence through relevant, high quality content
Corporate Communications
- Lead internal and external communications, including organizational updates and key initiatives
- Translate complex or sensitive topics into clear, actionable messaging
- Ensure alignment and consistency across all corporate communications
- Support leadership with communication needs tied to business changes and priorities
Digital Marketplaces
- Own MGK’s Amazon and digital marketplace presence
- Manage content, brand consistency, and customer experience across platforms
- Execute campaigns, promotions, and ongoing optimization
Performance and Optimization
- Define and track KPIs across digital and communication efforts
- Build reporting and provide actionable insights to improve performance
- Lead testing and continuous optimization across channels
- Monitor trends and adjust strategies as needed
Platforms and Execution
- Act as point-of-contact for marketing technology efforts, collaborating with IT and external vendors as needed
- Manage website functionality, page templates, and user experience improvements
- Serve as marketing expert on CRM utilization and marketing automation
- Maintain email marketing and social automation tools
- Create landing pages and lead-generation forms to support campaigns
- Build and maintain virtual event spaces in support of trade shows and digital events
- Develop and execute social advertising strategies that align with business goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 7-10 years of experience in communications and content strategy and/or developing and managing content using a digital platform
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook), Adobe Creative Suite, CMS and CRM systems
- Basic understanding of the consumer conversion funnel and integrated communications planning and the ability to understand how to create the right content for the right communications need
Preferred:
- Basic understanding of HTML and web publishing
- Familiarity with SEO and digital marketing best practices
Additional Details:
- This is a salaried position that is full-time, on-site at our Brooklyn Park location
- Salary Range: $90k-$110k (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
