Maintenance Technician Youth Apprentice
Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Youth Apprentice! Under the guidance of our Technical Training Manager, you'll provide essential maintenance support to our plant operations and facilities. Who We're Looking For:
- High school junior or senior
- You are enrolled within a qualified Youth Apprentice Program
- You’ve got a passion for figuring out how things work
- You are interested in a future career within maintenance
Skills You'll Need:
- Basic know-how with tools and machinery
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams (don’t worry, we’ll teach you!)
- Comfortable working with computers and maintenance systems
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Have a strong math competency and strong reading comprehension
- Follow instructions
- Be dependable and punctual
What You'll be Doing:
- Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical problems as they arise in production machinery and equipment
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks on production facility machinery and equipment
- Assist in documentation of machine issues and repairs as needed
- Assist with monitoring equipment for correct operation
- Identify maintenance requirements
- Assist with performing safety checks and lubrication procedures
- Assist with basic equipment repair
- Perform other duties as assigned by Technical Services Manager or Maintenance Supervisor
