We are currently seeking an entry-level Accounting Admin Specialist to join our team in our Columbia, SC office. Candidates should be professional, motivated, organized and possess exceptional oral and written communication skills. Ideal candidates will have 1-3 years of related administrative experience. Accounting experience in a law firm environment is preferred, but not required. A college degree is preferred but not required. This position is in-office in Columbia.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate solid independent judgment and diplomacy when executing work, resolving issues and interacting with team members and or senior management, in a manner consistent with MGC policies, procedures, quality, standards, customer needs and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Manual deposits
• Obtaining signatures on trust checks
• Scan incoming accounting mail to appropriate person
• Manage barcodes
• Stock check printer
• Scan payable checks to Prolaw
• Process refund letters
• Assisting Finance team with in-office duties
• Assist Accounting team as needed
• Assist with other miscellaneous in-office duties

Possess excellent listening skills, verbal and written communication skills

Possess excellent organizational skills, and pay close attention to detail

Must be able to read and write in English and use arithmetic skills accurately to complete required daily projects

Must possess ability to take initiative and handle various tasks simultaneously while working efficiently, effectively, and independently under minimal supervision

Must also have ability to work in a high-pressure environment
