Position Vacancy

MG Security Services is seeking a Security Officer to provide security patrol coverage for a client with a medical facility in the Wantagh, NY area. YOU MUST KNOW HOW TO DRIVE, YOU WILL BE OPERATING A VECHILE. The Shift availability is all week 9pm to 7am, please be aware this is the only shift available. The ideal applicant must have weekend availabilty NO exceptions.

Applicants must be prepared to perform the following duties and meet the following qualifications:

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide a professional level of service to meet and exceed client expectations
• Diligently patrol the interior and exterior of the site on foot to ensure the overall safety and security of the facility
• Proactively identify security related issues and take appropriate action to address
• Respond to incidents, conduct preliminary investigations, and make required notifications including to first responders, when appropriate
• Prepare Incident Reports, when appropriate
• Perform duty in an MG Security uniform or business attire as approved by the client and maintain said uniform to ensure a professional image
• Utilize security guard tour verification systems as you patrol the complex, where applicable

Qualifications and Skills

• Must possess a valid New York State Security Guard License
• Must possess a valid Driver's License
• Maintain appropriate qualifications, certifications, and licenses as mandate by the State of New York to work as a Security Guard while employed by MG Security Services
• Must be able to stand, walk, and climbs stairs for the duration of your shift
• Must be able to conduct interior and exterior patrols with exposure to seasonal elements
• Must have a dependable and reliable attendance record
• Must maintain a drug-free workplace
• Must meet health care facility requirements to work on site including the wearing of PPE
• Must be customer service oriented and be able to communicate with and direct people entering and exiting the facility
• Ability to prepare written reports based upon incidents occurring at the property
• Ability to make decisions with limited supervision
• Work independently
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills
