MG M The Law Firm is currently hiring experienced California Litigation Paralegals to join both our Toxic Tort practice group, supporting our California-based legal teams. This position requires the ability to work Pacific Time Zone business hours (9:00 am to 5:00 pm). Candidates located near one of our firm's office may have the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis from in office. Experience handling California cases is a plus, though not required.

The firm's expertise is diverse but focused in the areas of toxic tort, complex product liability, local government, general liability, and commercial litigation. We approach litigation as a unified team, integrating our efforts with those of our clients to advance their interests wherever they do business. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple complex litigation matters simultaneously.
  • Monitor case filings and provide detailed assessments to attorneys.
  • Draft and prepare initial drafts of various pre-trial motions, dispositive motions, and other pleadings.
  • Review and evaluate discovery documents including medical records, sales documents, employment records, and other case material.
  • Compose case assessments and evaluations for review by associates and partners.
  • Contemporaneous accounting and submission of personal billable time.

Candidate Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience in Toxic Tort Defense litigation is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience handling California cases is a plus, but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), Westlaw, PACER, and/or File & Serve Xpress.
  • Attendance & Punctuality: Consistently arrive at work and meetings on time; ensure responsibilities are covered when absent.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with attorneys, other paralegals, and legal administrative assistants.
  • Organization: Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Customer service: Respond promptly to attorney and client requests for service and assistance; meet commitments.
  • Dependability: Follow instructions, complete tasks on time, work independently, and commit to the hours necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Teamwork: Contribute to building a positive team spirit and support the success of colleagues.

Salary : $70,000 - $100,000
