Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of at least 2 years in payroll processing and accounting functions.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, tax regulations, and compliance requirements in the United States.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage 100-Contractor, ADP, or similar payroll platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification such as Certified Payroll Professional .
  • Advanced Excel skills including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
  • Familiarity with benefits administration and timekeeping systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and administer payroll for all employees accurately and on schedule, including calculating wages, deductions, and benefits.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports to federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Collaborate with HR to manage employee data related to payroll, such as new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end accounting close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary payroll and accounting documentation.
  • Continuously review payroll processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
