About the Role
MFS Construction is seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent to support multiple active projects across the Bay Area, primarily in San Francisco and Berkeley. Company vehicle is provided for commute between projects.
This is not a single-project role. You will play a key role in supporting field operations across several jobs, working closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to maintain schedule, safety, and quality standards.
This position is ideal for a flexible, hands-on field leader who can step into different project environments and keep operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Field Operations
- Support day-to-day jobsite supervision across multiple active projects
- Coordinate subcontractors and ensure alignment with project schedules
- Assist with site logistics, access, and sequencing
Scheduling & Execution
- Track progress and support look-ahead scheduling
- Identify and help resolve field issues impacting schedule
- Coordinate with PMs to maintain project timelines
Communication & Coordination
- Act as a field point of contact for subs and internal teams
- Provide updates on progress, constraints, and site conditions
- Maintain daily reports, logs, and progress documentation
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce OSHA and jobsite safety standards
- Support site safety efforts across multiple projects
- Ensure subcontractor compliance and proper documentation
Quality Control
- Assist with inspections, punch lists, and closeout activities
- Verify work meets plans, specs, and quality expectations
Schedule: Monday–Friday (occasional after-hours/weekend work for shutdowns)
Experience:
Required
- Valid Driving License
- 5 years as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent
- Experience in commercial construction (TI, renovations, or ground-up)
- Experience in elevator modernization projects**
- Ability to manage multiple job sites or shifting priorities
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to read drawings and manage field execution
Preferred
- Experience in occupied building environments
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools
- OSHA 30
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Equivalent field experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
