Residential Manager – Job Summary
The Residential Manager oversees the daily operations of a residential facility, ensuring compliance with state and county regulations, and delivering quality clinical and support services. Serving as the team leader, they act as the primary liaison with referral sources such as Riverside University Health System, Probation, Parole, Department of Justice, and Insurance Companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement treatment schedules in accordance with state and county contract requirements.
- Ensure adherence to Medi-Cal, CARF, DHCS, RUHS, and other regulatory standards.
- Assist Quality Assurance in maintaining client documentation per accreditation and Medi-Cal standards.
- Oversee staff orientation, training, evaluation, and, when necessary, termination.
- Coordinate staff duties and collaborate with CFO and COO on scheduling, budgeting, and revenue generation.
- Provide internal and external customer service with professionalism and responsiveness.
- Conduct staff meetings and ensure timely communication with all stakeholders.
- Supervise the development of individualized treatment plans and monitor service delivery.
- Complete necessary reports for referral representatives and assist in complex client issues.
- Attend workshops, training seminars, and adhere to Board of Directors' regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of experience in employee supervision.
- Experience in business management practices.
- A master's degree or two years' experience in behavioral sciences or a related field, or a business degree; or certification in a State-recognized chemical dependency training program with a supervised internship, or equivalent work experience.
- CADC, CATC equivalent, or higher Drug and Alcohol Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five years of administrative experience in staff management and supervision.
- Three years of experience in the field or a related field.
- Working knowledge of cognitive disabilities.
- Strong multitasking, planning, and time management skills.
- Conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of 12-Step programs; a minimum of two years of sobriety if in recovery.
Pre-Employment Requirements
- Insurability at standard automobile rates.
- Federal Bureau of Investigation and Department of Justice fingerprint clearance.
- Negative tuberculosis test.
- Pass a drug screening test.
Physical Demands
- Ability to move about, stand, and/or sit for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity to operate equipment and tools.
- Flexibility to reach, bend, and stoop.
- Ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels.
