Established Media, Delaware County dental practice | 32–36 hours/week
Our established dental practice in Media is looking for a dependable, organized, and personable Front Desk / Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our team. We are seeking someone who enjoys working with patients, takes pride in staying organized, and can confidently manage the administrative and insurance responsibilities of a busy dental office.
This is an important position within our practice. The right person will be comfortable taking ownership of the front desk, communicating with patients and insurance companies, keeping schedules running smoothly, and helping create a positive experience for every patient.
Schedule: 32–36 hours per week
Office Hours: Monday–Thursday, with Friday administrative hours
What You'll Do
- Welcome patients and provide a friendly, professional front-desk experience
- Answer phones, respond to patient questions, and assist with scheduling
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments
- Check patients in and out and collect patient balances and co-pays
- Verify dental insurance benefits and prepare insurance breakdowns
- Post insurance payments, checks, and adjustments accurately
- Review accounts and help resolve insurance and billing questions
- Communicate with patients regarding treatment, insurance, and financial questions
- Maintain accurate patient information and documentation
- Assist with the overall organization and efficiency of the front office
- Take on additional administrative responsibilities as needed
What We're Looking For
- At least 1 year of dental front-desk experience
- Experience with dental insurance and familiarity with ADA procedure codes
- Comfortable entering and posting dental insurance payments
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Organized, dependable, and able to prioritize multiple tasks
- Positive attitude with the ability to remain calm in a busy environment
- Strong computer and administrative skills
- Someone who takes initiative and is willing to learn and grow with the practice
Dentrix/Dexis experience is a plus, but not required. We are happy to train the right candidate who has strong dental front-office experience.
