A day in this role
Join our Minneapolis, MN (55428) team on 2nd shift and own the rhythm of a 4/10 workweek: Monday–Thursday, 2:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m. You’ll arrive, review the job ticket, and set up a flatbed die-cutting press—often a 40" Bobst—to exact specifications. Throughout the shift, you’ll monitor quality, make precise adjustments, and keep production on schedule while documenting your results. You’ll keep the equipment finely tuned, collaborate with teammates to improve throughput and quality, and maintain a spotless, safe work area. When needed, you’ll also help onboard and mentor newer operators.
What you’ll do
- Set up and run flatbed die-cutting equipment to deliver consistent, high-quality output.
- Inspect in-process work and verify it meets all specifications and tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues on die-cutting machinery.
- Partner with team members to boost efficiency and enhance quality.
- Keep the area clean and organized, following all safety protocols.
- Record production data and promptly escalate any concerns to leadership.
- Provide training and guidance to new operators when needed.
What you bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical manufacturing training is a plus.
- Hands-on experience as a flatbed diecutter operator (or comparable role).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with solid problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with firm deadlines.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
