Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrician Journeyman to join our 40 year old electrical company. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across commercial and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure safety, compliance with electrical codes, and the seamless operation of electrical infrastructure. Duties
- Install, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute electrical installations accurately.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and power tools to identify faults efficiently.
- Work on low voltage and high voltage systems with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate electrical work during renovation and new construction projects.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks in industrial settings.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure electrical systems meet safety standards and operational requirements.
Requirements
- Valid license as a Registered Electrician or as a Journeyman with relevant local or national licensing authorities.
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician, demonstrating familiarity with construction site environments.
- Controls experience highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of NEC regulations, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment.
- Ability to read technical schematics and perform frame carpentry or handyman tasks as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with hands-on experience in electrical troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and project managers.

Pay: From $43.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
