MeyerGoergen PC seeks an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal. The ideal candidate has worked with or is familiar with the documentation and settlement processes required by Lending Institutions for commercial transactions. As a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal, you will support a legal team handling real estate transactions and related documentation. Reporting to a supervising attorney, you will leverage core skills in legal research, document review, and case management to prepare, review, and organize loan documents, title work, and leases. You will coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance, manage deadlines, and maintain meticulous records. Your precision, organizational abilities, and strong writing skills will contribute to efficient, high-quality real estate matters.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to draft documents and to think outside the box
- Knowledge and understanding of corporate organizational documents, and ability to drill down the ownership structure
- Experience in researching from various Governmental websites
- Mastery of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel; and proficiency with Adobe (need to convert/insert/remove/edit.pdf info)
- Proficiency with SoftPro Suite
- Be or qualify to become a Notary
Responsibilities
- Review and organize real estate loan documents, title reports, and closing disclosures for accuracy and compliance
- Handle real estate and business closings including the preparation of settlement statements, obtaining and verifying settlement expenses, and related closing matters, and disbursing funds
- Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence, contracts, and due diligence reports; ensure proper filing and transcription where needed
- Coordinate with attorneys, clients, and lenders; support project timelines and document preparation using SoftPro and other systems
Qualifications include:
- Experience and familiarity with commercial loan documentation
- Complete understanding of the settlement process required by lending institutions
- Excellent organizational and proofreading skills, and attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, anticipating requirements prior to completion of transactions in order to meet mandatory deadlines
- Able to work under pressure and multi-task a large volume of work with demanding deadlines
- Be flexible to work some overtime
- Be dependable and have a strong work ethic
Education/Experience:
- Minimum of two years legal and/or commercial real estate experience
- College degree (preferred)
Pay: $40,000 - $70,000 per year with performance bonuses. Salary commensurate with experience.
