Fabrication Associate II – Blue Springs, MO
Job Summary:
Meyer Lab is seeking a detail oriented and mechanically inclined Fabrication Associate. The Fabrication Associate II is responsible for assisting o with facilitating daily the assembly of new systems and evaluating them for performance and stability. In addition, improving current systems while ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.
Job Duties:
- Proficient in system assembling, testing, and evaluating performance and stability.
- Conduct daily start and end of shift standard work on a daily basis
- Proficient in component assembly and functionality
- Assemble wiring for PLCs effectively and efficiently
- Assist with improving current systems to generate efficiencies for the company and customer while ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.
- Coach and mentor, the Entry level and Fabrication Associate I role in the service department.
- Fill out and accurately document orders to streamline communication and shipments to the sales team and / or customer.
- Prepare system orders with all parts needed for installation and package securely for freight shipments.
- Secure LTL shipments with minimal quality rejects
- Build arch systems effectively and efficiently
- Collect parts orders for systems from outside vendors as they come available
- Inventory counting with minimal quality rejects.
- Respond to and resolve complaints and problems.
- Understand utilize ERP NetSuite system, Pick Tickets, and Bin Locations
- Achieve and maintain Forklift certification
- Consistently meet all safety quality regulations including wearing PPE
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the service department throughout each workday.
Education / Work Experience & Requirements
- Mechanical, technical, build, and assembly skills sets.
- Basic understanding of Standard dilution asphalt systems
- Prior welding experience and electrical troubleshooting preferred.
- Prior forklift experience or certification
- Flexibility with day to day job duties
- Excellent reading and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word and Calendar).
- Problem solver that is a self-starter with personal accountability and follow-through.
Travel & Physical Requirements
- No overnight travel.
- Desk and computer work required.
- Ability to stand for 8 hours a day
- Lifting required up to 75 lbs.
