Job Purpose & Summary
Meyer Lab is seeking a detail-oriented Safety Manager. The Safety & Compliance Manager will establish, implement, communicate, and train employees (company, plant, field) and customers in safe work practices that are compliant with Meyer Lab, federal, state and local regulatory laws, policies, and requirements (i.e., EH&S, OSHA, NFPA, IBC).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Develops and implements a safety program with policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including but not limited to Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and International Building Code (IBC).
Leverages a standard work process to drive success in the day-to-day business environment.
Plans, facilitates, and implements annual and new hire training for employees (company, plant, field) on work site safety practices.
Performs safety surveys, inspections, and prepares written reports of findings with recommendations for corrective or preventative measures and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
Completes incident investigations and near miss reporting to identify accident causes and hazards, reports out to the leadership team, and takes any necessary follow up action required.
Maintains safety records and keeps safety program current by maintaining environmental permitting documentation and submittals as required.
Chairs, coordinates, and leads safety committee meetings.
Collaborates, advises, and works with cross-functional business partners, the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Revenue Officer, General Counsel, Vice President of Sales, Vice President of Service, Vice President of Human Resources, Director of Operations, on safety compliance concerns and preventative actions.
Lead safety from afar and across multiple sites.

Education / Work Experience & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in safety management or other relevant field with a minimum of five years of experience (manufacturing experience is a plus).
Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) knowledge, program development, training, implementation, and experience.
Knowledge of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and International Building Code (IBC) is a plus.
Experience designing and developing safety content and training materials.
Experience partnering with EH&S, NFPA, and IBC consultants as needed to accomplish company goals and objectives.
The ability to fully engage and keep an audience's attention while training virtually or in an on-site classroom.
Experience with integrating acquisitions into a core EH&S program is a plus.
Must be a high-performance leader who is a self-starter, problem solver, collaborative with excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Attention to detail and capable of managing multiple projects while always delivering quality work on time (meets all deadlines) is a must to be successful.

25% Travel
Desk and computer work required.
Lifting required up to 50 lbs.
