Duties

• Develop comprehensive construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and bid documents using industry software
• Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services to ensure precise cost projections.
• Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors through effective negotiation to secure favorable pricing and terms that benefit project budgets.
• Review and interpret construction contracts, scope of work, and project schedules to align estimates with contractual obligations.
• Monitor cost control throughout the project lifecycle by tracking expenditures against estimates and implementing adjustments as needed.
• Assist in the preparation of bid proposals, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in a timely manner.
• Support project management teams by providing accurate cost data to facilitate scheduling, procurement, and resource allocation.
• Utilize BuilderTrend for markup reviews, document management, and communication with team members to streamline workflows.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction estimating
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles, including quantity takeoffs, pricing strategies, and cost control techniques.
• Familiarity with construction site operations, safety protocols, and project management practices.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to achieve optimal pricing outcomes.
• Solid understanding of construction contracts, scope development, and project scheduling processes.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams and present detailed estimates clearly. Pay: $61,728.89 - $74,340.17 per year
