What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Receptionist position at Mexico Veterinary Hospital?
Position available for a Veterinary Receptionist or Client Service Representative, previous experience is preferred. Hours ranging from 25 -38 hours weekly, afternoons until 6:00 pm. We are looking for a compassionate, friendly, attentive and organized individual with reception skills. Someone that can represent the caring and compassion that our patients and clients deserve and expect. The individual we seek also needs to understand their importance to the proper flow and success of the patient/ client experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain accurate records of client interactions.
- Provide information on veterinary services and procedures, addressing client inquiries.
- Handle animals with care, ensuring their comfort and safety during visits.
- Collaborate with veterinary staff to support patient care and facilitate smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Previous veterinary terminology
- Proficient in animal handling and restraint techniques
- Strong client service skills with a focus on pet care
- Experience in medical collection and kennel operations is a plus
- Familiarity with animal husbandry and critical care practices
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the well-being of animals
