Director of Hospitality & Experience Operations
This position oversees all aspects of the food hall, retail, bar and restaurant concepts for Mexico Ceaty. The director will develop strategic plans and execute strategies to efficiently operate with a driven team that generates sales, increases profitability, and cultivates a positive experience for clients and staff alike. An ideal candidate will have a big picture business tactical outlook with an eye for detail and diligence in day-to-day operations. A successful applicant will display skills and experience that depend on established processes and clear policies to ensure excellence in service, consistency in food quality, cleanliness standard and ultimately profitability. Experience from a large-scale corporate restaurant environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborates with leadership to understand strategy and develops and implements strategic plans for store operations aligned with the overall business objectives
- Responsible for financial metrics, efficient processes, overall procurement, food safety and sanitation assurance and guest experience.
- Oversees operations day-to-day to ensure excellence in food, service and execution is consistently met.
- Promotes collaboration with culinary, retail, bar and restaurant teams with constant communication with store leaders regarding store performance and strategic initiatives
- Analyzes financial data, feedback, and other relevant metrics and creates informed business decisions to ensure growth
- Responsible for COGS, labor, costs, inventory, pricing, compliance and merchandising
- Develops the store operations budget and cost control measures while maintaining high quality standards. Establishes and monitors targets to measure and improve store performance
- Collaborates with sales, marketing and accounting teams to develop strategic performance measures and programming.
- Leads team through motivation, inspiration and team development, and proper coaching & counseling
- Actively hires talent, handles performance reviews, and terminations
- Representative of the company to the community and guests
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications:
§ Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
§ A minimum of 5 years of experience in high volume, corporate structured restaurants, or a related role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
§ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
§ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal teams.
§ Experience with Mexican cuisine, spirits and wine preferred
§ Technology skills with working knowledge of POS systems, Inventory Systems, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
§ Exceptional communication, leadership, motivational, and team-building skills
§ Demonstrated problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and business management skills
§ Bilingual Preferred
§ Management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant-bar and/or retail environment
§ Familiarity with CRM software and other sales tools is a plus.
