Position Summary:
Mexicali Blues is seeking a dynamic, customer-focused Retail Store Manager to oversee all aspects of store performance, including management, sales, visual merchandising, and operations. The Store Manager will develop a positive and motivated team while fostering an enjoyable shopping experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, exude a "glass half full" attitude, and act as a brand ambassador for Mexicali Blues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead store operations by hiring, supervising, and developing an effective team.
- Promote the Mexicali Blues brand within the community, enhancing customer acquisition and retention.
- Create an engaging in-store environment by overseeing visual merchandising, store layout, and customer experience.
- Meet sales goals through exceptional customer service, genuine salesmanship, and effective coaching of the sales team.
- Oversee daily operations, including opening/closing procedures, financial transactions, and inventory management.
- Train and educate store staff on products, sales techniques, and customer service excellence.
- Prevent loss and ensure the safety and security of store assets.
Qualifications:
- Sales and sales management experience in a customer-focused retail environment.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- High School Diploma required; BA/BS degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Proficiency in common business software (POS systems, Google Suite etc.).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be comfortable working in a retail setting, including weekends and nights.
Work Environment:
- This role primarily takes place in-store. Weekend and evening availability is required.
