Job Summary
The Mews Tavern is looking for a Bar assistant. The Bar assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the bar while providing excellent support for the bar staff. Barback experience is preferred but not required.
Bar assistant duties
- Check ID's.
- Conflict resolution for problem guests.
- Ensuring the safety of coworkers as well as guests of the bar.
- Help keep a clean and sanitary bar.
- Being able to adjust duties as needed for the success of the establishment.
- Cleaning the bar at the end of the night.
- Sweeping and mopping the bar.
- Stocking the bathrooms.
- General cleaning of the bathrooms
- Taking out the trash and recycling at the end of the night.
- Shifts start at 4:30pm-6:00pm and end between 10:30pm-2:00am
- Cleaning and stocking the bar.
- Bussing tables.
- Pouring beers when necessary.
- Light cleaning duties when appointed by a manager or bartender.
- Taking out trash and recycling.
- Changing kegs.
- Taking kegs out at the end of the night.
- Helping the bar staff be successful.
Pay and Perks
- This is a tipped position, pay can range $18-$25 an hour.
