Key Responsibilities And Duties
- Technical Procurement: Purchase technical goods, electromechanical parts, machinery, and services, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, blueprints, and drawings.
- Supplier Management: Source, vet, and manage relationships with suppliers, including auditing their technical capabilities and conducting performance reviews (on-time delivery, quality).
- Negotiation & Contracts: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve the best Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- ERP/Systems Management: Use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to process purchase orders (POs), track shipments, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Collaboration: Work with engineering, production, and quality teams to understand requirements and resolve vendor non-conformance issues.
- Cost Control: Analyze market trends and evaluate proposals to reduce costs and optimize procurement strategies.
- Technical Acumen: Ability to understand blueprints, CAD drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and technical spec sheets.
- Experience: Previous experience in procurement, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environments.
- Negotiation & Communication: Strong communication skills to liaise with internal departments and negotiate with vendors.
- Systems Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software (e.g., SAP, BaaN).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities for evaluating vendor bids and identifying cost savings. [
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. [1]

Salary : $50,000 - $65,000
