In this role, you will provide technical and quality support for repair operations, drive continuous improvement initiatives, support compliance with ISO 9001 quality management requirements, and lead root cause investigations to improve operational performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. You will play a key role in ensuring products, processes, and quality systems comply with regulatory, customer, and company standards. You will report to the Quality Manager.
This role is based in Mesa, Arizona.
This role may require travel to vendor and customer sites as needed, up to 10%.

What You'll Do
- Lead and support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements, Metso standards, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate ISO 9001 compliance and certification activities, including audits, documentation management, gap assessments, corrective actions, and closure of audit findings.
- Develop, maintain, and standardize quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, forms, inspection plans, and quality records.
- Analyze quality data and develop reports and dashboards to monitor key quality metrics, identify trends, and recommend improvement opportunities.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Manage calibration systems for inspection, measurement, and test equipment, ensuring compliance with quality requirements.
- Support investigations of quality incidents, non-conforming materials, repair processes, inspection results, and customer concerns.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, statistical analysis, and quality assurance methodologies to improve operational performance and product quality.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field, business discipline, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 3 years of related quality engineering, manufacturing, industrial equipment, or quality assurance experience.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO 9001 requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and apply quality assurance principles in a manufacturing or repair environment.
- Experience with quality documentation, RCA, CAPA, quality reporting, SAP QM, Microsoft Office, and data-driven problem solving.
- Effective communication skills, strong customer focus, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience performing or supporting NDT inspections and willingness to obtain NDT certification within the first 90 days.
- Nice to have: Experience in heavy equipment manufacturing or repair, foundry, fabrication and machining processes, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, or SolidWorks.
