We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development VIE to accelerate Metroscope’s growth in the North American thermal power generation market.
This role is designed for candidates who want to operate at the intersection of technology, energy and international business.
You will begin with a training and onboarding period in our Paris office (temporary 3 months contract) , where you will gain deep technical understanding of our product, the power generation industry and our sales methodology. After this period, you will relocate to Alexandria, Virginia (Washington DC area) to help develop Metroscope’s presence across the United States.
Working directly with the Chief Revenue Officer and the US General Manager, you will play a key role in expanding Metroscope’s presence in North America. You will contribute to building a strong commercial pipeline in the thermal power generation sector, developing strategic partnerships, and driving the adoption of Metroscope’s technology across the region.
This is a high exposure role for candidates who want to combine technical curiosity, business strategy and entrepreneurship in a fast growing international environment.

- Location: Training period in Paris, then relocation to Alexandria, Virginia, United States
Business development and market expansion
- Identify and analyze new opportunities in the North American power generation market
- Conduct strategic market research on utilities, independent power producers and industrial operators
- Identify potential customers and key decision makers across technical and executive levels
- Build and manage a strong commercial pipeline
- Engage with prospects to understand their operational challenges and introduce Metroscope solutions
- Contribute to outbound campaigns, events and partner initiatives to generate new opportunities
- Support the development of proposals and participate in deal closing processes
- Help structure partnership strategies with industry players
- Represent Metroscope at conferences, trade shows and technical forums
- Present Metroscope technology and value proposition to technical and executive audiences
- Support the creation of marketing and sales materials adapted to the US market
- Monitor market trends, regulatory changes and competitor activities
- Gather customer feedback and translate insights to product, marketing and customer success teams
- Contribute to shaping the company’s go to market strategy in North America
- Maintain and develop sales opportunities within the CRM system
- Track pipeline development and contribute to forecasting activities
- Provide structured feedback to leadership on market evolution and strategic opportunities

Education
- Master’s degree from an engineering school with strong interest in business development, or from a business school with strong technical capabilities
- Fluent English required (C1)
- Spanish is a strong plus
- Strong interest in the energy sector, industrial technologies and AI
- Motivation to work in complex technical environments and international business development
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
- Strong execution mindset with a clear doer attitude
- Resourceful and versatile, able to operate as a true “Swiss army knife” across business development, market analysis, partnerships and operational support

- Comfortable working in a fast evolving environment and managing multiple priorities
- Willingness to travel across North America when needed
