Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Training & Development:
- Participate in a structured, hands-on training program designed to build foundational knowledge in construction project management
- Learn and apply practical experience in leadership, business operations, and technical systems to prepare for advancement to a future management position
- Work closely with mentors and managers across departments to gain exposure to company processes, culture, and best practices
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing projects from pre-construction through close-out
- Learn to manage project timelines, material procurement, subcontractor coordination, and internal resources to meet customer expectations
- Support jobsite safety efforts by recognizing hazards and participating in daily safety practices
- Observe and assist in the estimating and bidding process
- Learn and apply various sales methods to procure business development and customer engagement
- Contribute to strategic planning for project acquisition, customer outreach, and proposal development
- Gain experience in project billing, cost tracking, and procurement processes
- Learn to manage financial aspects of a project including budgets, forecasting, and reporting
- Develop organizational and time management skills critical to project success and team collaboration
- Pre-plan and identify the methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task.
- Execute skill in observing habits and hazards of others and bringing it to their attention.
- Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company. Support goal of achieving zero accidents.
- Promote and encourage open communication between field and office regarding all safety concerns, suggestions, improvements, and PPE needed.
- Obtain safety training as expected by all company personnel.
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business, Finance, or Engineering
- Previous experience in construction (or a related field) preferred
- Positive safety attitude and personal integrity - both are non-negotiable
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and personal integrity
- Strong emphasis on workmanship, customer service, and satisfaction
- Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment screening
- Highly self-motivated with a drive for success
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams)
- Office environment requiring sitting and standing. Travel to various sites is essential, exposing employee to outdoor elements, noise and the need to stand and walk.
