Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Repair:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair generator systems using available technical resources
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliability and performance
- Identify required parts, procure repair materials, and complete repairs efficiently
- Maintain a fully stocked service vehicle with tools and commonly used materials
- Assess equipment needs and determine the scope of repair work.
- Estimate repair costs including labor, parts, and materials using department standards.
- Provide accurate estimates to customers and communicate any changes promptly.
- Complete and submit detailed service reports and documentation for each job.
- Assist in prioritizing and organizing fieldwork to meet customer timelines
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure a positive service experience.
- Take prompt action to address and resolve customer issues or complaints.
- Pre-plan and identify the methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task.
- Execute skill in observing habits and hazards of others and bringing it to their attention.
- Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company. Support goal of achieving zero accidents.
- Promote and encourage open communication between field and office regarding all safety concerns, suggestions, improvements, and PPE needed.
- Obtain safety training as expected by all company personnel.
- Must have at least 5 years’ experience in Electrical Service, Commercial and Residential. Good Driving record. Good Communication Skills. Generator experience a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and can pass pre-employment screening requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old and 21 for drivers
- Provide I-9 documents to establish work eligibility
- High school diploma/equivalent required; technical degree preferred. An equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience can substitute
- Generator installation is a plus, but will train the right candidate
