What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Biller position at Metropolitan Vision?
We are looking for a full-time F/T Medical Biller and Coder for our busy, full scope medical optometry practice. Candidate must have knowledge of eye related coding Cpt & Icd-10, medical and vision insurances. Candidate should be familiar with Revolution EHR.
The ideal candidate must have a positive attitude, great communication skills, able to multitask, be hard working, detail oriented, prioritization, professional demeanor, have excellent customer service and computer skills, as well as the ability to work as a team and in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities includes:
- Billing day to day, posting insurance and patient payments
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and billing forms
- Responsible for the proper and timely processing of specialty claims and payments
- Ability to identify and analyze claim issues
- Continued monitoring and review of open accounts receivables utilizing monthly aging reports
- Promptly respond to denial letters and requests for information
- Maintain patient and company confidentiality
- Provide billing solutions
- Assist staff with fee collection
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Applicants must have a minimum of two years of past experience in the medical field and knowledge of medical and vision insurances.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
