As a Veterinary Ophthalmology Technician Assistant at MVA, you’ll assist our Ophthalmology Technicians and the entire care team in diagnosing and managing various eye conditions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and assisting specialty departments with daily patient care
- Providing patient care responsibilities including husbandry, laundry, walking dogs, and cleaning cages
- Restraining and handling canine and feline patients safely and confidently
- Communicating clearly and professionally with clients and team members (both verbal and written)
- Stocking supplies and maintaining cleanliness in treatment and diagnostic areas
- Help ensure overall hospital cleanliness and organization
Anticipated Schedule
This is a full-time position.
- Tuesday - Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm
- Starting at $19.00/hour

What We’re Looking For We’re Seeking Veterinary Ophthalmology Technician Assistants Who Excel In a Specialized Environment And Find Fulfillment In Helping Pets Maintain Optimal Vision. You Likely Have
- Experience in a specialty or advanced general practice—prior ophthalmology exposure is a plus
- Strong clinical skills
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly in observing subtle changes in ocular health and documenting findings
- Effective communication skills for conveying important information to the veterinary team and ensuring smooth workflow
- A team-oriented attitude, thriving in collaborative settings alongside veterinarians, fellow technicians, and support staff
- A passion for continuous learning, seizing every opportunity to further develop your ophthalmic knowledge
