Job Description
The primary responsibilities of the part-time Worship Leader will be to lead a thoroughly blended worship service and grow the music ministry at Metropolitan United Methodist Church. This person is directly accountable to the Lead Pastor. The candidate will possess an adaptable skill set and leadership capabilities, which will enable the worship ministry to grow as we develop special worship events on campus and in our community.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Continue to grow and mature in Christ as a godly person of integrity with a strong sense of calling and identity in Christ.
- Provide leadership, vision, and passion for worship ministries in line with the overall vision, purpose, and mission of Metropolitan UMC.
- Lead and create engaging Sunday morning worship services, including recruiting and developing a worship team and scheduling vocalists.
- Assist in preparation for and leading rehearsals, and coordinate music for Sunday services in collaboration with the Lead Pastor.
- Attend ministry meetings with the Lead Pastor and participate in planning and implementing church programs that fulfill the mission and vision of the church.
- Assist in planning, implementing, and leading worship for special events outside of Sunday worship services.
- Perform other duties as assigned by church leadership.

Hours per Week: 5 hours (primarily Sundays and rehearsals)
