What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate – Shipping, Receiving & Inventory position at Metropolitan Supply?
Metropolitan Supply is a growing automotive parts distributor with a fast-paced, multi-channel warehouse operation supporting multiple sales channels. We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team and help keep our shipping, receiving, and inventory operations running smoothly.
What You'll Do:
- Receive incoming inventory shipments, verify counts against packing slips/POs, and inspect for damage or discrepancies.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outbound orders for multiple sales channels accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including cycle counts and stock location tracking.
- Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse layout.
- Operate warehouse equipment (pallet jack, hand truck, box cutters, etc.) safely.
- Communicate stock discrepancies, damaged goods, or reorder needs to management.
- Assist with general warehouse organization and other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
- Prior warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially with part numbers and SKUs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/move for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills (inventory software, order/shipping platforms) is a plus, but not required.
- Automotive parts knowledge is a plus, but not required.
- Online marketplace knowledge is a plus, but not required.
