The Hourly Rate for this temporary position is $20.00 per hour.
This position is a 9 month Temporary position that is not benefits-eligible.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Program Manager, Center for Urban Education, the Data Program Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and ensuring the operational success of the Center for Urban Education’s (CUE) projects and programs, including data collection, event coordination, office management, recruitment and outreach, budget support, and university student staff supervision.

Duties/Responsibilities
Data Coordination (30%)
  • Create structures to align the various CUE program’s daily on-site data collection with the Colorado Department of Education and the Mayor’s Office overall grant and contract reporting requirements
  • Develop and manage data collection utilizing site-based Excel spreadsheets
  • Support the Denver Public School’s Partnership Agreement requirements
  • Prepare participant data for monthly and semester reporting to funders
  • Coordinate participant intake data collection around performance measures as required
  • Provide supervision to University student staff supporting data collection
Event Coordination (15%)
  • Select, negotiate and secure agreements with event sites, catering companies, transportation services and other external organizations that provide site support for event
  • Ensure event budgets are followed
  • Coordinate and monitor event timelines and ensure deadlines are met
  • Initiate, coordinate and/or participate in all efforts to market event to external audiences and MSU Denver administrators, faculty and staff
  • Edit, design and coordinate production of promotional materials
  • Create invitee list; conduct outreach, including: announcements and invitation; manage RSVP list
  • Coordinate registration and attendee tracking, presentation and materials support and pre- and post-event evaluations.
  • Provide supervision to University student staff supporting events
Recruitment and Outreach (15%)
  • Work in partnership with CUE staff on a recruitment and outreach strategy to increase out of school program participants
  • Coordinate various modes of communication with program participants and families including fliers, text messaging, email, and phone calls
  • Coordinate program applications and materials
  • Identify opportunities to recruit participants with DPS partner schools
  • Work with staff on website updates
  • Provide supervision to University student staff supporting recruitment
Family Liaison Support (10%)
  • Coordinate communication and outreach with family members for the 21st CCRC Program
  • Work in partnership with staff on the development of the program agenda and information to disseminate
  • Host families and provide resources and presentations on college access at family engagement events Assist in parent event facilitation, on-site data collection, and post-event reporting on outcomes
Program Budget Coordination (10%)
  • In partnership with CUE staff, develop budgets that reflect financial support needed to effectively implement CUE program and projects
  • Provide daily administrative support with budget tracking including: expenditure and deposit tracking in the banner finance system and ensuring event and materials budgets are tracked.
  • Assist in the development and coordination of Independent contracts, Special Purchase Orders, Purchase Orders and other required documentation for spending as outlined by the MSU Denver Grants and Accounting office
Office Operational Management (10%)
  • Cultivate relationships with Auraria Higher Education Center (AHEC), MSU Denver, and equipment/supplies representatives and staff with the goal of ensuring sufficient space and resources, and access to services to support the CUE office
  • Coordinate contracts, purchase orders and leases supporting program and operational services
  • Manage supplies inventory and purchase of supplies, as needed
  • Oversee office filing systems
Student Employment Coordination and Development (10%)
  • Recruit, hire, manage compensation, and oversee training and orientation of student employees under supervision
  • Develop and implement a system to evaluate the skill, experience, and professional development needs of student employees
  • Support program manager around onboarding and training of University student staff
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related education, psychology, human resources, special work or related field.
  • Experience providing data collection support
  • Experience working with K-12 students supporting out of school time activities
  • Experience coordinating events
  • Experience coordinating family outreach and engagement
  • Proficiency in Excel
