Debt Collection Specialist

Metropolitan Recovery Partners is seeking a motivated and persistent Commercial Debt Collector / Collections Specialist to join our growing collections team.

This is a fast-paced, communication-heavy position. The majority of your day will be spent calling, texting, and emailing business owners regarding outstanding commercial balances and working to secure payment arrangements.

Responsibilities:

• Make a high volume of outbound collection calls throughout the day
• Text and email merchants regarding outstanding balances
• Follow up consistently with merchants until accounts are resolved
• Negotiate payment arrangements within company guidelines
• Maintain detailed notes on every conversation and account
• Track promises to pay and scheduled payments
• Follow up immediately on missed or returned payments
• Communicate professionally while remaining firm and persistent
• Work a large portfolio of commercial collection accounts
• Meet individual and team collection goals

• Strong phone and communication skills
• Confident and comfortable speaking with business owners
• Persistent and able to handle objections and difficult conversations
• Organized and able to manage a large number of accounts and follow-ups
• Comfortable making a high volume of calls every day
• Competitive and motivated by results
• Basic computer, email, and texting skills
• Collections, sales, MCA, finance, or high-volume call center experience is a plus

About the Position:

This is not a customer-service position. We are looking for someone who is comfortable being on the phone throughout the day, following up repeatedly, negotiating payments, and working toward collection goals.

Experience in commercial collections, Merchant Cash Advance (MCA), business lending, debt collection, or telephone sales is especially valuable.
