What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist position at Metropolitan Podiatry PLLC?
Metropolitan Podiatry is seeking a medical receptionist to join our growing team. The receptionist will support our Podiatrists with a variety of administrative support functions such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying insurances, conducting insurance authorizations, and aids in general billing. Very friendly environment and nice staff. Candidates should have flexibility to work shifts falling in between Monday through Saturday between 10AM to 10PM (position is available 30 - 50 hours per week depending on what fits your lifestyle). Being on time is a MUST (it means arriving 15 mins prior to your shift time )
Candidates must have a great combination of administrative and customer service skills . Familiarity with podiatry and orthopedic medical terminology is a huge plus. Compensation is negotiable and commensurate with experience. This position is based out of Middle Village, Queens.
Minimum Requirements:
· High School Diploma
· Experience as a receptionist, ideally with experience in a medical office setting.
· Previous experience working with insurance verification
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
· Top-notch customer service skills and ability to create a warm and welcoming environment for patients.
· Ability to handle high volume phone calls and bookings.
